hi, i’m lexi.

“Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view.” - Obi-Wan Kenobi

Congratulations on reaching this point in your therapist search! You want to embark on the path towards a fulfilling and joyful life. Acknowledging the need for assistance in overcoming life's obstacles is no small feat, and I commend your courage in reaching out for help. It is not always easy to recognize the areas in our lives that need improvement. You have chosen to prioritize your well-being and take proactive measures to address the challenges you face.

By taking this important step, you have set yourself on a journey towards healing.
Seeking therapy signifies your commitment to personal growth and your willingness to confront the hurdles that life throws your way.

Therapy doesn’t have to be cloaked in mystery.

In our work together, we will create safety and security together so you can explore the parts of your life that may need some attention and nurturing; your blind spots. I provide services from a trauma informed person-centered approach, believing in the power of the therapeutic relationship to initiate the change process. I believe that when the client-therapist relationship is built on trust and empathy, I can help you develop insight around what you’re bringing to therapy. I use Narrative Therapy as a technique for making meaning of your life story and insight, giving you the agency to tell your story as desired. Through this, you can pinpoint changes that need or want to be made and you can rewrite aspects of your life story to create the narrative that you draw strength from.

I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Certified. This is a trauma modality that can help clients reprocess and desensitize traumatic events/memories without spending each session in talk therapy.

If you’re a geek or blerd like me, I can infuse geek culture into our sessions, drawing on fictional characters and arcs, books (including comic books), and movies.

From this point forward, remain open, receptive, and committed to the process. Healing is a gradual process that requires patience and self-compassion. Allow me to help you embrace this journey on your road to becoming your best self.

Good Faith Estimate

As of January 1, 2022, under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to received a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to one, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
